Child killers

Iran: The Last Executioner of Children
- Nora Boustany

In a troubling report on the execution of minors in Iran, Amnesty International said Tuesday that at least 71 child offenders are on death row and more than 24 have been executed since 1990, more than in any other country.

The report, "Iran: The Last Executioner of Children," said 11 of the child offenders executed were younger than 18 at the time of their deaths.

Truly a barbaric and backwater regime who has only ascended to a leadership role because of the regional vacuum created by the poorly chosen acts of the United States. While this pawn was effectively pinned by Saddam Hussein, and let us not forget that part of the reason he did not want the world to know he had complied with UN demands for disarming was to continue to present an effective deterrent to Iran, it has been rogue ever since. One of the many, many, many reasons you need to carefully consider your acts in the global arena. The repercussions of our Iraq endeavor will, sadly, reverberate for quite some time.
